I loved it!

I saw it recommended on TikTok. It really isn’t my usual read either but it was so good, although a little sad.

BlueberryVelvet · 17/12/2023 16:37

I loved it too! It’s definitely a 2023 favourite.

clpsmum · 18/12/2023 11:53

I loved it I've just got another one of the authors so I hope it's as good.

Maybe I'm the only one but I just finished it and thought it was over hyped and just ok. I ended up skipping pages. So it wouldn't be on my recommended books list.

I loathed it. It was the first choice for our work book club and it put me off going to the first meeting so I never went ever!

There was a bit when the narrator apologised for assuming Evelyn's sexual identity in a really earnest and wooden way and I never quite got past that eyeroll.

SanFranBear · 18/12/2023 13:10

Strange with these titles... I finished The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle the other day..

Seven... Evelyn... weird!

I find having truly loathed the book is a brilliant start to any book club. You can all bond over how terrible it was. 🤣

I keep flip flopping on whether to try this book. I've heard so many negative reviews but I do like a light read sometimes. Next time I see it in the charity shop for £1 I think I'll get it!

Let me know what you think of it. I loved it

I think her books work so much better on audible. I’m really enjoying listening to it.

ThePoshUns · 04/01/2025 03:21

Yes I enjoyed it as an audio book

I found the narrator annoying but once we got Evelyn telling her story it improved, her voice was much more engaging. I thought it was far better than average for a page turner.

hamsandyams · 04/01/2025 10:57

I liked it but thought Daisy Jones and The Six was much better.

EachandEveryone · 06/01/2025 13:27

It’s not the story I thought it was going to be at all. I’m enjoying it but couldn’t have read the book. Is audible cop out I sometimes wonder?

FlippityFloppityFlump · 24/01/2025 22:40

I've just finished reading this and really enjoyed it.

MonkeyTennis34 · 12/02/2025 08:46

It's a light read, isn't going to win any awards but I enjoyed it on holiday.

Think it's being made into a film/tv series.
