Looking to Branch Out into Cosy Fiction

Okay, so I have what my partner refers to as "teenage edge lord" tastes when it comes to reading. Favourite books include Wuthering Heights, Perfume, Junkie, Crash, and My Year of Rest and Relaxation.

I'm currently looking to widen my tastes and I would like to read some cosy fiction. So far, I've read the first in the Darling Buds of May series, and to my surprise, thoroughly enjoyed it. What else might I like?

Try Cold Comfort Farm, I Capture the Castle, The Shell Seekers, My Family and Other Animals.

I'd love some suggestions in this genre too.

Have you read The One Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of The Window? It's a marmite book but I loved it.

I have not, but I have seen it oft suggested, so I'll add it to the list thanks.

If you haven't read them already then Anne of Green Gables and Little Women, and another vote for I Capture the Castle.

Yes. Also another vote for Cold Comfort Farm.

Amor Towles- a gentleman in Moscow is the most wonderful read. I loved it.

The Thursday Murder Club books are very cosy.
