Book recommendations for the men in my life

I'd love some recommendations for my 17 and 20 year old sons
I love receiving books for Christmas and am trying to encourage them to keep reading - books that have been hits in the past
Hobbit/LOTR - ready player one - game of thrones series - unbroken ( and other ww1/ww2 stuff) and further back in time hunger games and maze runner series
Ideas? Thanks

I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes

If they like fantasy they might enjoy Tom Holt - hilarious, fantasy-meets-real-world - or the Rivers of London series (though not a fan myself)

Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers

If they enjoy literary fiction they may like Benjamin Myers - eg The Gallows Pole

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin (about gaming!)

Have to ask if they've read Terry Pratchett as that would be an obvious one for me if not! Also Stephen King.

Stuff like Hunger Games / Maze runner: Battle royale, Divergent, Handmaid's Tale, Station Eleven, Octavia E. Butler.

Lovecraft Country was good fun.

I also loved Justin Cronin's The Passage series.
