Demon Copperhead

Just finished it. Loved it so much. Anyone else?

I knew there would be a thread about this! I've just read Demon Copperhead and loved it. I thought the quality of the writing was just so good. I hadn't previously read David Copperfield but I did recognise some of the baddies as "Dickensian", U-Haul mainly. Now reading Copperfield and finding the parallels really interesting. In fact I'm finding it much sadder than Copperhead. I'd forgotten how relatable Dickens is despite being written so long ago.

I find Barbara Kingsolver a bit hit and miss - I loved the Poisonwood Bible (although it took me a while to get into it). I found the Lacuna less compelling and never finished a couple of her older books (whose titles I've forgotten!)
