I've just finished the Karen Pirie books. Which Val McDermid books should I try next please??

Yes-Tony Hill is brilliant. Although I've taken against Val since I saw her on House of Games....

Yes defiantly Tony hill/carol Jordan. They made a tv series based on the books a few years ago called wire in the blood.

Would also recommend Jane Casey Maeve Kerrigan books

I didn't see Val on House of Games. I was rooting for her on University Challenge though, when she was up against Mary Archer as the leader of the other team in the final. MA was steelily determined to win .. and not hiding it very well!
