About 60% through. Skimmed read a lot of it. Do I carry on? Is it worth it?

Not sure I like the modern tech in a fantasy and the characters seem off.

Anyone else?

Thought I'd try one last time.

Just finished this myself. I think I skimmed over a lot of it. It wasn't for me, the characters all felt like caricatures and the plot was a little too predictable. I definitely won't bother with the sequel

I got to about 70% then flicked through the rest. Characters just felt off and inconsistent.
