I’m reading ‘Salem’s Lot by Stephen King. I didn’t buy it especially for Halloween. It’s been in my bookcase for years and I decided I might as well actually read it since Halloween is coming up. I don’t own many horror books.

Unfortunately no horror beats real life currently.

I've been thinking I should reread Salem's Lot but then I remember how much it scared me and change my mind!

EF Benson is one of those early 20th century writers who could do excellent ghost stories. There's a large, cheap anthology of his stories called "Night Terrors".

The Bone Key by Sarah Monette. So good, and quite scary in parts. I am trying really hard to save the continuation (A Theory of Haunting) for Halloween. 👻

I’ve just finished A Haunting in the Arctic, might reread a couple of C J Cooke’s others as I love them.

Reading The Whisper Man by Alex North it's gripping and creepy!

Reading Last house on needless street atm. Might read Salem's lot after that.
