Beautiful nature book's recommendations

I'm looking for a present for my mum. She generally enjoys non-fiction and has previously enjoyed books like "The hidden world of the fox". She's a 'young' early 70s, bit of a hippy who loves art and beautiful illustrations. Any ideas?
