I loved Persepolis and would love to read more about Iran. I am interested in both fiction and non-fiction, as long as well written and easy to read (not a “heavy” history book).

TIA

Hmmm I did read a great book about a woman in Iran. I'll have to have a think or look to see if I still have it as I really can't remember the title!

Just found it. Not without my daughter.

Its about an American woman who has married an Iranian man and on a trip there with her family basically is told she or her daughter are never leaving. I read it years ago, it's set in the era of the Ayatollah Khomeimi. Great read, one that has stayed with me.

I read Reading Lolita in Iran a while back and enjoyed it. It's about a women's book club in late 90s Iran.
