I read all the HP books when I was young, (I'm now 34) and recently revisited them all on audio book, they made me so happy, I couldn't wait to get to do them he cleaning/car journeys as they made me so happy but now they are finished I feel bereft.
Can someone please recommend another good series or long individual boook for me to get my teeth into
I'm trying to get into Jodi Taylor's St Mary's series as I was a huge fan of 'the nothing girl' but I'm finding it missing the mark, it seems a bit rushed and lacking build up.
Is Game of thrones good on audio book? I have read a few but certainly willing to give it a try on audio

If you like mysteries try the Cormoran Strike series written by JK Rowling writing as Robert Galbraith. They are excellently read on audio by Robert Glenister

Oh and I really enjoyed 11.22.63 by Stephen King on audio, it's about 30 hours so quite long!

Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch -- better in audio due to the brilliant narrator Kobna Holdbrook Smith.
I agree with you on Jodi Taylors, should be my thing but left me cold.

Ooh great recommendation on Rivers of London. I've really enjoyed this series and I think they must lend themselves to a suitably sardonic narrator.

Stephen Fry narrating HP is perfection.

I'm currently listening to Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel which is good, long and all about magic so in keeping with your theme.

Again, if you like mysteries, I loved the Peter May books The Blackhouse, The Man with No Face and The Chessmen. All read by a narrator with the loveliest highland accent!

Also really enjoyed the Patrick Rothfuss books The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear but be warned - they're meant to be a trilogy and there is no sign of book 3 atm.

Hated GoT - I know it's read by someone who was in the series but I found him tedious to listen to. Had to read the end of the book for myself because I just couldn't stand it anymore.

I usually just start them again to be honest. I have never found anything else that comes close.

I have loads on Audible but always default to HP.
