Your very favourite Autumn/Winter reads?

I'm looking for a deep, dark book I can dive into. Something very atmospheric and chilling.

The Dark Is Rising, by Susan Cooper is my favourite read for Midwinter, which is the time it's based.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell fits this bill

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.

Stacey Halls the familiars is one of my go to autumn reads. It's about the Pendle witch trials and is quite gothic and mysterious, feels very autumnal!
