Just finished. I was satisfied by the ending too. Got a book sized hole in my life now

I went back and found the parts in all the other books where pa salt features and reread. I’d guessed them all except his appearance in the pearl sister where I had no idea who he was. I thought it was all done so well, the ending was lovely.

yes I agree, particularly MK was a bit forgotten at the end which was a shame. There was a point when I wondered if she might be Maia’s child with Zed, although I admit the age and gender didn’t fit! I was disappointed that wasn’t really resolved or tied in nicely.

Absolutely. It was more realistic to have a few loose ends left but I’ve never seen realism as a major factor in these stories.

I've finished it and really enjoyed it. I'm going to go back and read others again.

ANOTHER SPOILER

It’s just occurred to me, when Ally announces her & Jack’s big news right at the end, why is it only Marina & the sisters who are mentioned reacting? We know Thom & Felix are at Atlantis, but they don’t get a mention.

Did I miss Zed’s motivation for being an all round weirdo?

I think it had to come from his dad. Apart from him being a natural creep.

Yep. Especially the point where he told Maia it had just been a fling & he didn't actually give a shit about her.

I've just been re-reading the bit where Atlas adopted Star. Either Buckingham Palace's intelligence wasn't good enough to find out that Teddy wasn't really Flora's nephew or they decided it was appearances that mattered. Both feel entirely possible.

I only noticed recently that the first five books, and The Missing Sister, all start with a variation on ‘will always remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard that my father had died.’

The exception being The Sun Sister, which starts with Electra telling her therapist that she doesn’t remember where she was or what she was doing when her father died. Somehow I never picked up on that before.

I hadn’t picked up on that either.

Went to Lake Annecy in France recently and saw this spherical statue (from the car). The statue, together with the lake behind, instantly reminded me of where all the sisters lived (even though it’s not Geneva).

I can see why!

Am posting without reading the thread, as I want to avoid any more spoilers. Have only just embarked on the series, currently listening to book 2 on Audible, and am hooked. Don't understand how it's taken me so long to find the books!
But I have read a comment above about the possibility that Pa Salt is still alive. And I came to the same suspicion at the beginning of The Storm Sister! I think it's pretty obvious, but am looking forward to the journey of finding out if I am right or not!

No comment but enjoy the books! The Storm Sister’s given me an idea for next year’s summer holiday.

Just finished Pa Salt and loved it really enjoyed reading the series of books and would love recommendations for anything similar, as in a long series that I can get into.

I went to Norway years ago. Loved it.

I've just finished The Shadow Sister, and downloaded The Pearl Sister while listening to the last chapter. I am loving these books so much!
I hadn't realised, though, that Lucinda Riley was no longer with us 😪 and I see that it's her son who wrote the final installment about Pa Salt!
I am certainly going to enjoy the journey to then!

I have just finished listening to The Missing Sister. What an incredible story, and a compelling cliffhanger!

I feel emotionally wrung out, and need a bit of time before starting the next book.

But I am already thinking, what on earth will I do when that finishes!

Finally finished this mammoth 8 book series. All totally ridiculous but enjoyable too! I wonder if Harry Whittaker will carry on the legacy and write about the search for Maia's child, and Elle's brother? And there seemed to still be question marks over whether Kreeg was actually dead.
