Bit of a spin off from the ten favourite books thread. Who are your ten favourite writers (they don't have to be novelists)?

  1. Virginia Woolf
  2. P. G. Wodehouse
  3. Aldous Huxley
  4. Evelyn Waugh
  5. Dickens
  6. Bill Bryson
  7. M. R. James
  8. Oscar Wilde
  9. Jane Austen
  10. Edward St Aubyn

Ooh!
Dorothy Sayers
Angela Carter
Terry Pratchett
Douglas Adams
John Keats
William Shakespeare
Sarah Moss
Peter Ackroyd
JK Rowling
Alison Uttley

An eclectic mix. In the past I would have had Douglas Coupland but I haven't read him for ages so maybe I have gone off him . There are a lot of authors I'm really enjoying at the moment but I've only read one or two of their books so we shall see.
