Similar to Margaret Forster's Diary of an Ordinary Woman?

Hi all,

I usually get my next book recommendations from this MN topic so hope you can help with this niche query.

Someone on here recommended Diary of an Ordinary Woman and I looked at in online and thought it looked really interesting. Sadly, for some reason it is not on Audible.

I rely on Audible at the moment and wondered if anyone knew of a similar book which will hopefully be on Audible?

Any Human Heart by William Boyd has similarities in that it follows a man throughout his life, set against some of the major social and historical events of the twentieth century.

Olga by Benhard Schlink. Follows a woman's life through C20th Germany. It's on Audible (beware, the German language version is on there too!)
