Anne Tyler fans?

Just read my first Anne Tyler and absolutely loved it. It was her newest one, French Braid. Is it typical of her books? Can anyone recommend others I am likely to enjoy?

1) Patchwork Planet
2) The Accidental Tourist
3) The Amateur Marriage
4) Ladder of Years
5) Digging to America

I've obviously got some reading to do, I've only read one and five.

I must say though that my absolute favourite book of hers so far is Breathing Lessons. I don't know if it's because it was the first book of hers I read or because I read it in the Hospice sitting with my DF as he slept. I've loved all of her books so far but that one is special.

You could also try Alison Lurie Foreign Affairs and her other novels are great!
Or Curtis Sittenfeld I also love, especially Sisterland and American Wife.
