It’s bugging me so much that I can’t remember this books name.
It’s fantasy, set in another world but it’s olden times (if that makes sense!)
It’s about a girl who works in an inn by a river, one day on impulse she jumps into a boat that is going past in it is a man. He turns out to be a prince and they fall for each other (or become friends can’t remember) They eventually go out to sea and end up Ona beach where they get captured by pirates (possibly) who sell them as slaves they go to different owners, the girl to a scientist where she learns the trade. He goes to mines where he is mistreated. Anyway they end up escaping together and go back to their country. They eventually end up together.
Starting to wonder if I imagined this whole book!
