Books about the living in France

Last year I read a lightweight book ( think it’s a series) about a middle aged woman that relocates to somewhere near Nice. Bit of crime and of course a love interest.

I’m obsessed by Place in the Sun and books with descriptions of places I know
Has anyone got any more recommendations for books about people living in France please?
Cote d Azur gets you bonus points!

I bought a book called 'death and croissants' recently which sounds like it's along similar lines to the one you're describing. I haven't read it yet so no idea if it's any good !

There's also 'a year in Provence' + sequels, which are memoirs by a guy who moved there.

Thank you!
I saw a good one in a charity shop but failed to buy it there and then and it was gone. Something about a road trip through the south of France.
I quite like light reading but with good descriptions of the place iynwim.

I'm afraid I do not have anything to add but could you please share the name of the book about the woman near Nice?

Nice work if you can get it by Celia Imrie. She narrates the audiobook as well
