Help me find this chick lit book please.

I am racking my brains to remember this book - it is definitely chick lit, and I thought it was by Trisha Ashley, but I’ve got everything of hers, and it’s not among them.

The plot involves a woman and her child, fleeing an abusive or bad marriage/relationship, who arrive at a safe haven at a house in the country, and then I think they go on to build a new life and relationship.

I know it’s not a lot to go on.

Is it Wish upon a Star by Trisha Ashley? Not sure if it totally fits but thought would suggest it

There's a Freya North one with that sort of plot.

Is it a Phillipa Ashley book? I get her muddled up with Tricia Ashley

Is it Carole Matthews, A Place to Call Home, bloke who lives there is an ex rock star whose wife died, a stripper and a bad tempered old lady. Then this lady and her daughter come along?

She has a whole series of them based around a woman and her daughter who move there.

Is it Secrets by Freya North?

It might be Secrets, @PiggyPlumPie - I’m going to give it a try and see.
