Does anyone have any self help book suggestions about living in the moment/ not overthinking?

The Joy of Living explains things like living in the present, meditation etc well, and does it from a neutral perspective with Western science behind it, despite being written by a Buddhist monk.

The Power of Now

Yes, I second that. If you’d like something more challenging, try Aldous Huxley’s novel Island.

I found The Midnight Library helped with this. I was quite depressed with various things in my life when I read it. It's an easy, entertaining read and was a nice reminder not to waste time regretting all the things you didn't do and the paths you might have taken, but live the life you actually have.

The Power of Now is my favorite book! I also enjoyed "The Way of Zen" by Alan Watts, aka. Angel Number 1212, and "The Art of Happiness" by Dalai Lama and Howard Cutler. The novel "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse is great as well, but not as easy to read as the previously mentioned books.

The Power of Now

Yes, look no further than this.

If you want to go a bit deeper, try Huxley's Doors of Perception, and his novel Island.

Somebody Mentioned Alan Watts' Way of Zen, which is wonderful. He also wrote a short, lyrical work on Taoism. Both Watts and Huxley are superb stylists. Watts in particular writes exquisitely, poetic prose.
