Inspired by the thread about which books you re-read again and again... I've never found a series to compare to this. I think I've been going wrong looking for historical fiction when maybe it is anthropological fiction I am after?

Has anyone found anything they liked as much?

Also I once red I think on Reddit that there is some well regarded fan fiction with alternative endings, but I've not been able to find it. Does anyone know where I might look?

I love these books! I listen to the audiobooks at least every other year. My husband calls them the prehistoric sex stories 😂

I've read these and the Outlander Series lots of times now have them on Audible and listen to them at least once a year.

Oops, just noticed the typo in my post, I can spell read, honest.

Yes for some reason I can't convince my teenager to try it after I warned her about the cave-man sex scenes 🤔.

The description of Outlander doesn't pull me in, bit then again neither did Earth's Children originally. I've just read a sample and think I'll give it a go.

They start really well, but by the end of the series really seem to have lost their way. And could do with less sex.

I loved them at the start but by the last few I thought I'd have liked the option of buying a heavily edited/abridged one that didn't recap all the previous ones in such minute detail!!

I haven't found anything similar though
