MP3 player recommendations for audio books

I don't like using my phone for audio books. I have a birthday soon and would like a device (preferably not Apple) to listen to audio books on the go.

Could anyone please recommend one?

I'm not sure they still exist! If you don't want to be distracted by your phone maybe you could use an old one just for audio books?
