I'm short on brain power this year. I love buying and receiving books as gifts.
I wondered if the bookworms would like to chip in some ideas please?

I need something's for a young woman (21). Last year I gave her Letters Of Note and while there is a volume 2, I'd like something different.

And then something for a nature loving, politics and travel enthusiast ( male, 21).
H is for Hawk went down well. As did Tim Marshall books

Lastly historical biographies for DH. He likes science and engineering but also general history. I'm thinking maybe a biography of Churchill?

My favourite book so far this year was Miss Benson's Beetle by Rachel Joyce. Would suit a female of any age - covers female friendship, travel, mystery but not set in modern time. Truly wonderful book

Peter Wohlleben’s books - The Hidden Lives of Trees etc - are great for nature lovers. Also Robert Macfarlane?
