Can anyone reproduce a paragraph from SNAP by Belinda Bauer please

I generally have to read a paragraph or two of a book to know if I can engage with it. I like spare prose and can't deal with too much detailed flowery descriptions. Can't find a short extract of 'Snap'
online, so would anyone with a copy of the book be so kind as to type out a paragraph from the book on this thread. Sorry I know that sounds like an odd request.

You can use the 'look inside' feature on Amazon to see if you like it: www.amazon.co.uk/Snap-Sunday-Bestseller-Belinda-Bauer-ebook/dp/B072MLQD2W/ref=sr_1_1

Belinda Bauer definitely tends towards the spare prose rather than the flowery descriptions so you should get on all right with her books.

Thank you both - appreciated

I can post a photo of the first few pages if that helps?

Belinda Bauer is a great author.

AtomicBlondeRose · 19/11/2022 17:57

She is. I loved Exit - it was very clever and surprisingly funny for a crime novel! She’s very underrated in my opinion.

mum2jakie · 19/11/2022 18:01

Snap is a great read but Exit is even better

LimitIsUp · 19/11/2022 18:11

Thank you everyone - I think I am going to buy both books!

I just finished Snap.
It was very good.
I shall get Exit on your recommendation @mum2jakie

deeahgwitch · 26/09/2024 10:26

SPOILER ALERT
How did Jack know that was the knife that killed his Mum @mum2jakie ?

sparebooks · 26/09/2024 10:37

Probably my favourite crime author. Just wish she would write more books Sad

deeahgwitch · 26/09/2024 10:52

Can you remember how Jack knew the knife killed his mother @sparebooks ?

sparebooks · 26/09/2024 12:29

Ooh no I'm not sure. That was the first one of hers that I read, and it was a few years ago now.

Autumnweddingguest · 26/09/2024 12:31

Belinda Bauer is a good writer. Snap is one of her best.

Oh god, sorry it was a long time since I read the books so really can't remember without a re-read!

You can also select the Kindle option, and get a free sample sent to you. If you don't have a Kindle, install the app on your phone.

Just finished listening to Snap on Audible. Which BB book should I listen to next?

Also, this is probably a dim question, but why was it called Snap? I thought it would be obvious but I'm not sure. Assumed the similarities/pregnant women. Trying to be not use spoilers!

deeahgwitch · 28/09/2024 18:18

@tobee
Possibly because there were two knives that were similar.
Also the murderer just snapped ??

tobee · 30/09/2024 00:25

Thank you @deeahgwitch
