I bought Blade Artist a few months ago and was repulsed by the disdain Begbie had for his oldest children… but couldn’t NOT get DMT after he runs into Renton on the flight.
finished DMT yesterday and loved that Renton “came good”, even Begbie semi-redeemed himself when he avenged Spud’s death - but Where The Fuck is comeuppance for SickBoy? Every single word that comes out of his mouth is repulsive filth - and he gets away with it.
IW says he won’t write another in the series… but how can it end like that? Why didn’t Begbie tackle SickBoy? What should’ve happened to him?
