The Men by Sandra Newman (spoilers aplenty- inc. the ending)

Has anyone read this?

I’ve just finished it and really enjoyed it, but felt left down by the ending. It was a bit Bobby-Ewing-in-the-shower.

If you’ve read it, what did you think, and how did you interpret the ending?

Hey I just finished this! Yeah wtf was with the ending? Was it all a dream or did she choose the men and therefore go into a personal purgatory of her previous life?

I think the latter.

In the vision that Evangeline’s old girlfriend had (Poppy, I think?), wasn’t there a part about the men making it back and the women letting them in, and basically giving up a utopian future?

I found the ending so frustrating but loved the first 95% of it.

Maybe it was a multiverse and Jane went back to the original one, bc weren’t some people disappearing after watching too much men? I don’t see how she herself on her own could have put the men back

i did think it was frustrating and also confusing at the end … but some of it very interesting
