Do you ever set aside a day for reading?

Today, I have nothing pressing to do-things to do but nothing that can't wait- and I have the day to myself.
I would like to set it aside to just read, on the bed or on the sofa.
Usually, the longest unbroken block I get to read is maybe two hours, so having the full day seems excessive and indulgent.

Does anyone else set ever set aside a long period for just reading?

Only on holiday really.

go for it. Sounds like a lovely day!

Sounds bliss. Last time I did this was when the last Harry Potter came out. I was pregnant with DD1 so never had the chance again!

Frequently! I had a week off recently and spent several days mostly reading (too hot to go out) and it was lovely. I read a lot!

I'm going to do it! Just going to pop to the shop for a box of chocolates and then I'm away!

No, but I've had a few days over the years, usually on a cold, dark autumn afternoon, where I curled up in a big armchair with a pot of tea and a stack of cucumber sandwiches, and read an entire novel in one sitting.

Wonderful.

My exact plans for today Grin ... day off work, nothing really essential to do (housework can wait) ... have spent time with family & friends earlier this week so why not?

No, but I would so love to. If I ever get a day to myself without kids to look after or work to do then I am 100% doing this.

Oh that sounds like heaven. Totally infeasible for me right now but I'm putting it on my treat list. Have a wonderful day.

Yes. It’s one of the best ways to recharge.

More snatched ten mins here and there. But if I get hooked on a book I do.

Every Saturday! I'm Jewish and keep sabbath so instead of tv or phone, I read a book for the greater part of the day.
