Libby app - recommend me an audio book

I love the Libby app and listen to audiobooks all the time.

I love Terry Pratchett books and have listened to most of them multiple times.

I am looking for recommendations of new audiobooks that I can find on the Libby app.

I am willing to try most genres, but would prefer something 'gripping' rather than wishy washy if that makes sense?

I have tried a few from the most popular list but I really struggle with the American style of audio book narration which seems so wooden to me and I usually give up after a chapter or two.

So can anyone recommend good books with great narration that I can get lost in?

I have been reading/listening to the Daisy Dalrymple series by Carola Dunn on Libby. It’s a murder mystery series set in the 1920s which I’m enjoying just as much for the period setting and social commentary as the whodunnit. There are 23 books on there so if you do enjoy it, there’s lots to work through. I prefer reading but some are only available as audiobooks.

Sounds good - I'll give them a go. I tend to go for audiobooks as I listen to them whilst pottering about doing stuff

Trouble is. Ur library will be different to mine as each library has different books to listen to. Wish I could have more. As some of my libraries have barely anything.
