I've just finished this, it totally gripped me but the twists were rubbish? Have I missed something? I guessed it was the son and that her husband was a wrong 'un, feel very disappointed!

I did not guess it was the son at all but always knew the husband was a gaslighting twat!

I'm not normally good at guessing endings but I just thought she was so desperate for the son not to be on the stand.
It was very obvious with the husband. All quite disappointing in the end!

I've just started it (so trying to avoid the spoilers!) but am convinced I've seen it on the telly. I can remember the drunken post-work scene/sex in chambers and the supper with friends.

It seems to be in production still, so can't have, unless there was something very similar.

It's a bit similar to apple tree yard. I read it ends at midnight too which was even worse.

Ooh, I thought it was dire, I just don't get why it gets such good reviews. Husband obviously up to no good watching the telly with his "men's group", and using Rohypnol. Madeline obviously covering for her son. Patrick was a horrible would-be rapist and Alison a pathetic doormat.

Really unconvincing, unlikeable characters and plot.
