Money book recommendations

Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for an up-to-date (U.K.) financial advice book, please.

I find online info a bit overwhelming and would really benefit from some straightforward advice on

• investments and savings
• pensions
• remortgaging
• taxation (inheritance, etc)

Please let me know if you came across a book you found helpful on managing money.

Wouldn’t it be better to spend some more (significantly more) and get tailored advice from an accountant.

I use MSE regularly for things like bills and interest rate comparisons.
I think it's great for when you know what to look for specifically.

I looked at Martin Lewis's books but they are circa 2005 so thought will not be very up to date. And they seem to be more about saving/ being frugal?

I'd just like some more guidance on managing what you have (I'm not rich!) in a way that is a bit inflation/ future-proof, etc.

Pete Matthew does great podcasts. His book gives you the basics if that's what you're after. My library had it
