I don’t really know anyone under the age of 55. What novels should I read to research modern life?

Sally Rooney writes readable fiction about being a 20-something. Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes both have books of essays that deal with this too.

Thank you.

Another one for Dolly Alderton's Everything I know About Love.

There's a lot of fabulous writers under 55. For example Zadie Smith, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Mieko Kawakami are all women in their 40s writing wonderful books about the modern world.

When I say young I mostly mean early twenties now, but it’s true even people in their forties can seem a bit alien.
I have to read a couple of presents then I will report back. Thanks all.
