Just finished it, anyone else? I wasn't that sure what happened to all of the characters at the end, especially poor Patrick?

I took it that Patrick had established contact with Jess and followed her to Scotland on the next train. I have to say that I got thoroughly irritated by all of them and the way they pandered to the ghastly Ray. I was glad to finish it and be done with them. At least it seemed that Lucia, Patrick and Jess had sort of got away.

I gave up before the end, I’m afraid. It was all so hectic. I wanted someone to just tidy up the kitchen and cook the dinner properly instead of dashing all over the house for “scenes”.

I was a bit confused when Patrick missed the first train but then it was mentioned later that he was with Jess. I just wanted them all to escape horrible Ray! And I was rather glad to finish it too.

Some of the reviews said it was very funny, but I didn’t find the family funny- just annoying and rather sad. And I agree about the ghastly house! Why didn’t someone do a bit of tidying up? That awful mouldy cellar!
