Has anyone else read this? How did you find it?

I have become bored of it, cannot get into it. It seems quite badly written to me, or perhaps just not a style I can engage with. I am interested in the (obviously horrific) subject matter and want to read it but it just isn't keeping me engaged.

I haven't read this book OP but I did read In Plain Sight by Dan Davies which was very interesting- he interviewed JS quiet a few times and it gives a good insight into how his vile acts were kept an open secret. It's not an easy read by any means but it is well written

I couldn’t bring myself to pick it up.

I've read In Plain Sight too. It was a difficult read, in terms of the subject matter.

It was known what he was up to, years before it came to light publicly, but people were too afraid to speak out - he had that much of a hold over organisations that relied on his charity fund raising. I worked with someone whose sister was a nurse at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in the 80s and they were all warned never to be alone with Savile. Still makes me angry that he got away with so much for so long, creating an air of untouchability around him.

Sorry, It's the sane book, I think it's full title is 'in plain sight, the life and lies....'

I'll give it another go. Obviously the subject matter is shocking and harrowing but I did want to read it, I just couldn't get into it for some reason. I've started reading something else now but I'll go back to it.

I've heard a few stories like that, @LittleDiaries :(
