Need help remembering a series of books please!

Hi all, I have seen several threads were ppl have asked for help remembering authors/titles from years ago and getting the answers...so here's hoping you can help me too. This has been bugging me for several years and I can only remember that I really enjoyed them.

I recall reading them in the early 1980s and were in the teenage section. The books focused on a young guy called Hal (?) going into jungles and collecting wild animals for zoos. His younger brother tagged along during his boarding school holidays and they got into all kinds of trouble on their adventures. Does anyone else remember them at all please?

It was a series by Willard Price, each book was called The * Adventure so there was The Amazon Adventure, The Volcano Adventure, The Antarctic Adventure etc - I borrowed them all from the library when I was about 10 - brilliant!

Loved these. There was one where a guy got his foot trapped in a giant clam and nearly drowned when the tide rose. Memories.

And one where they set themselves as bait for a vampire bat.

Always felt sorry for the animals but fun to read

His brother was Roger and was in every nok.

I crushed on Roger. Half was too serious.

It's all a bit yuk now... cos it's all about taking animals from their natural environment to sell to zoos and circuses

I used to love them, but was put right off by Whale Adventure.
