I enjoyed this very much. It's a description of how she gave up her house, husband and career as an FT columnist to become a teacher, at the age of 57. And also set up a charity to encourage others to do the same.
I'd be interested to hear what other's thought.

There was a thread, a few months ago, mostly focussed on how narrow her social circle seemed to be, and what people’s experience was of forming friendships with others from different backgrounds.

It was the second book I've read by Lucy Kellaway - the first was a novel which I thought I'd like more than I did. I liked this memoir much better than I thought I would. While I don't agree with some of her ideas and can see that most critical comments I've read on this are probably valid, I did find it quite engaging, entertaining and thoughtful, and I liked her willingness to admit she sometimes gets stuff wrong.
