Book page spreader - anyone use one?

I’m an old school physical book reader and I’m looking for something to keep the page open whilst reading. I’ve seen some wooden page spreaders with a thumb hole. Has anyone used one and do they work or are they annoying?

I have a book seat and I absolutely love it, it makes reading so much more enjoyable and I can drink a cup of coffee while I read. Also my eyes aren't what they were, but I can plonk the book seat on my lap at just the right distance for focusing.

Nah, I just use whatever's handy. Like a plate of cookies or whatever I'm snacking on.

That's why I use a kindle. Especially when reading in bed.
