Is there a way to organise my fiction reading?

I have hundreds of unread books on Kindle. Some have been there since I bought my first Kindle eleven years ago.

I want to make a To Read list, ie put them in order that I want to read them. Kindle app doesn't appear to have such a facility.
Is there an app that can do this or do I need to resort to pen and paper lists?
Alternatively I suppose I could just add a list to my Notes app but would prefer a dedicated app.

I have an ancient kindle so someone may come along with a better grasp of the functionality. What I do is pick three books and open them so that they appear on the first page of my kindle list. On my version the books are listed in order of date most recently opened. I read them, then repeat the exercise.

I know the sense of being overwhelmed by the "to be read" list!

Does your kindle not have a function to create Collections? They work a little like labels or folders. Though yes it would be a faff for ordering the books if the list is big but if it’s just say the next three to read it could work.

I used to use an app for my tbr but I’m not sure that allowed you to order them either.

A reading journal might your best option for lists

The app I used to use is: Reading List - Book Tracker by Andrew Bennet

There’s a free version. It might do what you’re looking for.

Do you use Goodreads? It's owned by amazon so easily syncs up with your kindle. You can then log books as read/unread/want to read there.
