I have an unheatlhy obsssion with Kindle Daily and monthly deals and other possible bargains - I have no room in my house for more paper books but that doesn't stop me buying them too.
I know there've been threads before because I've seen them but the last one I can find died more than a year ago.
Anyway to start off
18 August - today's Daily Deals are mixed up with yesterday's which have revered to much higher prices.
I've snapped up
Mary Lawson, A Town Called Solace which is one of the books on the Booker longlist that interests me, whehter or not it makes the cut.
I really recommend Jessica Mitford, Hons and Rebels - which I probably first read in my early teens or slightly earlier and loved it very much - this is a memoir by Nancy Mitford's sister, a lot of it is about growing up in in this rather dysfunctional aristocratic family. Some of the stories will be familiar if you've read or watched the adaptations of Nancy's best known novels Love in a Cold Climate and The Pursuit of Love but from a slightly different perspective.
a handful from the huge list of Monthly offers, until midnight on 31 August -
99p each
Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones and the Six - novel about the music industry of the 1970s
Sarah Moss, Summerwater
Cherie Jones, How the One-Armed Woman Sweeps Her House (Women's Prize shortlist) - TBR
Clare Chambers, The Editor's Wife - reissued earlier novel following the success of Small Pleasures - TBR - I have read and enjoyed some of her other novels
