Anyone finished The Missing Sister yet? What did you think?

I thought it was significantly better than the previous book, and enjoyed the story. The multi-layered plot did get mildly annoying at times, especially as it was obvious almost from the start who the Missing Sister really was.

But I also feel very cheated. I think like everybody else, I thought this book would finally solve all the mysteries. I was astounded to have got through 800 pages only to discover: “To be continued” in an eighth book, to be published Autumn next year.

I've just started it abs finding it a bit flat so far. I can't believe it's not the final conclusion though, I want answers!!

It did start slow. I thought it picked up once Nuala’s story started.

I thought it was the final book as well. How disappointing. Haven’t read it yet.

So disappointed that we have to wait till next year. The book was pretty slow to start with and although I enjoyed the story I don't feel that any of the loose ends have been tied up. The book just ended up posing more questions than answers.

Just dreadful. Has Lucinda Riley slipped into alcoholism? There are SO many references to boozing.

I flicked through most of it. I haven't enjoyed a Seven Sisters book since Ally's, but I can't seem to resist buying them!

I thought it was dreadful. Too long, boring and Merry was very dull. The Irish history felt like a lengthy lecture.
It was pretty obvious that Merry was Merope ( bit of a clue eh?), but nobody seemed to spot that.
Such a disappointment.

I just heard that Lucinda Riley has died from cancer. Apparently she's been suffering for four years and wrote many of her books in that time. I've yet to read The Missing Sister but have loved the rest of the series and her other novels. Such sad news Sad

That is really sad news.Sad She kept her illness remarkably quiet, and pretty impressive that she kept writing as much as she did while unwell.
