I will have some time to pop in the shops before my vaccine tomorrow so a trip to Waterstones is a must. Depending on traffic I may only have a short time in town. So if you were going to look for books but didn’t have a proper browse, what would you look out for?

Some books I loved
Chalet School
Becky Chambers’ Wayfarers Series
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary (have also read The Switch)
The Cows by Dawn o’Porter
Harry Potter
The House at Silvermoor by Tracy Rees

I don’t like horror. I recently read The Midnight Library, didn’t get why it was so hyped up. I’m currently reading the Old Man’s War series by John Scalzi

Have you read any Taylor Jenkins Reid?

BasicallyBookish · 27/05/2021 20:00

@Acrasia if she wrote Daisy Jones and the six, yes. But only that oney

She did! Her new one, Malibu Rising, came out today, and it’s good so far. There is some crossover with The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo, but you wouldn’t need to read that first, although it is her best book so I would recommend reading it anyway!

I was just wondering if you got something nice? And I hope your arm’s not too sore!

I would look at the various but one get one half price paperbacks, whatever took your fancy.

They tend to be across a small number of tables so easy to get around
