Anyone read 'one for my baby' by tony parsons?

I have read it but it was a while ago. I don't think it was as good as his previous books.

I liked it. I thought it was very touching. I know the ending was a little corny, but i'm a sucker for a happy ending

I hated Josh's character, but something made me want them to work it out.

I liked the character of George Chang but apart from that I prefered Man & Boy. Although I like Tony Parsons I think Nick Hornby tends to be funnier in that wry manner of his.
