Anyone read it? I am a big fan of ED, but this one is about the Spanish flu and I am not sure how grim it is...

I enjoyed it. A little grim but very well written and the characters were very well developed. It’s by no means an uplifting book but I still enjoyed reading it.

DP kindly picked up some reservations from the library including a copy of this for me yesterday. Looking forward to reading it despite the subject matter.

I've just started the second book in a trilogy about a worldwide pandemic by Louise Welsh (I read the first soon after it was published a few years ago). Death is a Welcome Guest starts with everyone getting ill on a cruise ship, so while it's not totally the same as how we first heard of what was going on last year, it is rather unnerving.

I really loved it. Great characters. The audio version is really good

It is quite grim, but very readable.

Yes, I enjoyed it too. I thought it was well written. I often forget books but I remember this one quite well though I read it earlier in the year, so that's a good sign!
