If my lovely MIL loves Ann Cleeves but has read them all, what else would she like to read?

Her birthday is coming up and I'd like to buy her one or two nice books to read in her new fancy pyjamas. I don't read anything similar so I've no idea what I'm looking for. Thanks

Try Elly Griffith's Ruth Galloway series or stuart macbride's Logan Macrae series
Also the Jackson Brodie books set in Edinburgh.

Yes I was going to say Elly Griffiths! She might also enjoy the Inspector Gamache series by Louise Penny.

I bought her the Ruth Galloway series box set in the end, can't wait to give it to her!

Too late for your MIL, but I like Ragnar Jonasson and in some ways his Icelandic crime reminds me of Ann's Shetland series, it's the Nordic thing I think, and the descriptions of nature.
