I'm using the library app.

These are the audiobooks that I've already listened to;

This is going to hurt Adam Kay
Twas the nightshift before Christmas Adam Kay
The disappearance of Adele Bedeau Graeme Macrae Burnett
The secret life of Cows Rosamund Young Whistle in the dark Emma Healey
The Body A guide for occupants Bill Bryson
Gotta get Theroux this Louis Theroux
Who fears death Nnedi Okorafor
Unnatural causes Dr. Richard Shepherd
The salt path Raynor Winn
A short history of nearly everything Bill Bryson
The Handmaid's tale Margaret Atwood
The Book Thief Markus Zusack
Where the Crawdads sing Delia Owens
The lesser bohemians Eimear McBride
The little Sister Raymond Chandler
My name is Lucy Barton Elizabeth Strout
Why we sleep Matthew Walker

I don't have a particular genre that I like. I listen to fiction and non fiction. I'm browsing but uninspired by what's on offer and would appreciate any recommendations.

The books available on borrowbox are specific to your library (they have to buy copies of audiobooks like they would with physical books) so not all libraries that use BB will have the same selection.

Some audiobooks I have enjoyed if you can get them (all non-fiction):
Born a Crime - Trevor Noah
The Five - Hallie Rubenhold
Breaking & Mending - Joanna Cannon
Becoming - Michelle Obama
American Kingpin - Nick Bilton

Based on the science books you mentioned I would also recommend Mary Roach. I haven't listened on audio but her books are really interesting.

I didn't know that. I assumed it was the same selection for everyone.
Thanks for your reply, I will look up those recommendations and see if they're available to me.

I've just searched the ones you've mentioned.
The Five - Hallie Rubenhold and Becoming - Michelle Obama are available but with a wait. The others aren't on there.

I'm listening to The Night Circus on there atm. It's very good.

Just checked my history on BorrowBox and I've enjoyed the following:

Margaret Atwood - The Year of the Flood
Olive Again by Elizabeth Strout
and I've bookmarked Julian Barnes - England England

I'm currently listening to The midnight library by Matt Haig.

kennythekangaroo · 07/02/2021 13:50

I have recently listened to
The chronicles of St Mary's series by Jodi Taylor.
Clockmakers daughter - Kate Morton
The Ruth Galloway books - Elly Griffiths
I currently have Knife Edge -Simon Mayo

It's worth reserving books, they often come in early.
My library also offers books and audiobooks on the libby app which gives you a different choice of titles.

Thanks, I've just had a look for all the ones mentioned.
The only ones available are;
Margaret Atwood - The Year of the Flood
The midnight library by Matt Haig
Clockmakers daughter - Kate Morton
And only books 1, 2 and 4 (not 3 Confused) for
The Ruth Galloway books - Elly Griffiths
But I'll check those out, thanks.
