Just My Luck by Adele Parks

I received this as part of a Christmas present. It has five star reviews and apparently topped Richard and Judy and the Sunday Times charts although I hadn’t noticed in the latter. I read it and cannot understand the praise it received. I would love to know what others might think on here as I have bought so many good books based on mumsnet recommendations.

I was completely underwhelmed. It was ok I suppose, I did finish it but the characters were unrealistic and unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I agree Anna713 but cannot understand the reviews. However, I have the problem of telling the present giver what I think of it as she really wants to know!!! My real problem was the ending along with the characters etc. I haven’t read any other books by this author and don’t feel any inclination too do so.

I’ve downloaded this to read. I liked some of Adele’s older books in my younger years, but found the last one I read (about the twins) ridiculous so stopped reading her for a while....

The ending was ridiculous. I've read all her books and agree that they are getting more far-fetched!

Yeah I wasn't impressed and I usually live Parks' work.

I don't understand how the main husband and wife were ever a successful couple when they're so ridiculously incompatible

I really didn't like this book. I thought it was stupid!
