This is what my 11 year old has asked for - any ideas? English is not his first language so not too hard, thanks. Failing that are there any footballer biographies suitable for this age?

How about the kids series written by Frank Lampard?

Europilgrim · 12/12/2020 20:24

Thanks for the suggestion but looking at them, I think he would find them too young.

The Ultimate Football Heros series by Matt & Tom Oldfield might be popular. DD1(12) loved the ones about the female football legends that were published for the Women's World Cup last year.

TJ football books - written by Theo Walcott

Rob Child’s - wrote a number of children’s football books. My dc loved them.

Also, a lot of clubs produce annuals at this time of year.

Thanks!

Some really good suggestions here. If you're interested in including non-fiction, the Football School books by Alex Bellos are very good.

Europilgrim · 17/12/2020 19:50

Thanks - I'll have a look at that too.

Fever Pitch is non-fiction but probably worth considering.
