Where should I start DD off with Terry Pratchett? I actually never really got into him but think she would love him.

Yes! Go for the Tiffany Aching series first, she's fairly easy to get into. I regularly read the series.

I'd read the Hogfather at this time of year! It's ace.

Truckers, Diggers and Wings (the nome trilogy) was my starting point - written for kids but I still enjoy reading it as an adult 😊

Tiffany Aching’s also a great recommendation with the slight caveat that the fifth and last Tiffany Aching book (Shepherds Crown) was Pratchett’s last book and you can feel the difference Alzheimer’s made to his writing style. Still definitely worth a read but not representative of the quality of Discworld as a whole.

Discworld can be read in any order but if your daughter objects to spoilers it’s best to read it in order of publication or in order of character (Tiffany Aching includes characters from the witches books so contains some minor spoilers)

Personally I’d recommend starting the Discworld with Mort but there’s really no right answer (I read them chronologically and my DH read them as he found them and we’re both fans) 🙂

Equal rites!

Second Equal Rites. It was the first one I read and it combines the witches and wizards.
