Primary School (C of E) songbook

I remember a thread years ago discussing C of E primary school songs, eg 'Morning has broken' ' We plough the fields' etc.
I was hoping to buy an old copy of the song book for my twin DSis as she loved singing these songs. We are 40 - so I guess the book is from 1970-80's era
Of course, now I cant find it via google, thought I would ask you lovely folk if you might know the name of the songbook.

Come and Praise?

Cornishmumofone · 05/12/2020 16:55

Songs of praise (small blue book with a circular black silhouette image with some trees and deer) or Come and praise (photo of children in shades of blue)?

Come and praise has brought back some memories

Mumdiva99 · 05/12/2020 16:57

I was just going to say that. Come and Praise was blue I think. Come and Praise 2 was brown. Although it was more 80s than 70s I think. hymns.fandom.com/wiki/Come_and_Praise

We had "Songs and Hymns for Junior Schools" (I'm 51)

Now trying to remember the dark-purple swirly cover we occasionally saw at Sunday School... (it had "Love is Something if you Give It Away" - anyone remember that?)

We also sang songs at primary school from a book called 'Appuskidu' which may be familiar to some of you.

Thanks everyone, I actually can't remember if any of these suggestions are correct even seeing the books - I think I was a dreamy child!
I have to look into it - thanks again!

A and c black have lots of assembly type books, spiral bound , one definitely has love is something if you give it away in it, I remember playing it!
But I’m sure it’s come and praise you are thinking of

Magic penny song mentioned above was in “ alleluia” I think
Another assembly book was “ someone’s singing Lord”
And
“ tinderbox”
Ps I was the school pianist for years and years!!! I miss this now I’m retired, but nothing else! Just the singing, dancing and fun!
