Does anyone recognise this - Xmas themed fiction

Some years ago I read this book, it was fiction, one of those churned out books aimed at women. I’ve got a real hankering to read it again as we head towards Christmas.
There is a middle aged man married to a woman he no longer loves. They have a teenage daughter and she dies in a car crash (the wife might be dead too) I believe he is driving the car, and he is grief stricken.
He decides to get away to Scotland to escape Xmas.
There is also a middle aged woman who decides to go to Scotland for Xmas on her own.
They somehow end up in the same cottage ( perhaps double booked ?)
There is a cleaner who is disgusted that they sleep together. But it’s because he has nightmares about the crash.
They help some locals and end up as a couple.
Not much to go on but you never know 🤞🏻

It’s not Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher is it?

I’ve just had a look on Amazon and the first edition cover of that book looks very familiar, like the sort of book I would have taken out of the library.
Thanks very much 🙏🏻

Having looked it up now, I’m pretty sure it’s Winter Solstice, it has lots of the elements you describe and I’m going to have to read it again myself to check Grin

I remember it being a really ‘cosy’ book.
I’m going to order it, I hope it’s as good as I remember !

I got my copy for Xmas and yes, it’s the right book.
Thank you BestIsWest 🙏🏻
Hope you enjoyed reading it.
I’m going to revisit The Shell Seekers too.
