Please recommend something for DH and I to read together

We have been reading the Robert Galbraith books together and I was just sorting out DDs Christmas Eve books and I thought it would be nice if we have a new joint book. What would people suggest?

A gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. Oh how I love that book.

If you enjoy that kind of very literate British crime, anything by Reginald Hill. Australian writer Peter Temple’s The Broken Shore is a wonderful book, crime and social commentary and hugely enjoyable. Zoe Sharp’s thrillers are excellent, but I really rate her standalone books.

I’d second A Gentleman in Moscow or The Offing by Benjamin Myers.

Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch, it's the only book both my husband and I look forward to, bonus is our son has now gotten into them as well.
