Any suggestions? I like how her books are funny but do still tackle quite heavy subjects. Any similar recommendations?

Liane Moriarty has a similar style of amusing story telling. Avoid Nine Perfect Strangers as a first read of hers, it's not as good as her other books.

Oh an oldie but a personal favourite of mine " I don't know how she does it" which is an incredibly poignant novel about trying to maintain a career and marriage after children. Sadly the follow up about menopausal years wasn't that good.

Us by David Nicholls but can't recommend his latest Sweet Sorrow.

Jill Mansell is good, bit like Sophie Kinsella though, doesn't really tackle difficult subjects
